What Constitutes Harassment

MatchDesi defines harassment as any behaviour that causes distress, fear, or harm to another user, including but not limited to:

• Sending repeated unwanted messages after being asked to stop
• Threats of violence or harm, even implied
• Sharing or threatening to share someone's personal information (doxing)
• Sending unsolicited explicit images or descriptions
• Persistent contact after a user has blocked you
• Coordinated group attacks or pile-ons against a user
• Discriminatory abuse based on gender, religion, caste, ethnicity, or sexuality

How to Report Harassment

1. Use the Flag icon on the offending user's profile or message
2. Select "Harassment" as the reason and describe the situation
3. Our safety team will respond within 24 hours
4. For urgent safety threats, email safety@matchdesi.com immediately

Our Response

Every harassment report is reviewed by a human member of our safety team. We do not rely solely on automated systems for serious reports. Confirmed harassers receive:

• Immediate account suspension pending investigation
• Permanent ban upon confirmation of serious harassment
• Reporting to law enforcement if threats involve physical violence

Protecting Yourself

• Use the Block feature to prevent someone from contacting you
• Never share your real name, phone number, or address before you feel safe
• Meet in public locations only and let someone know your plans
• Trust your instincts — if something feels wrong, end the interaction

False Reporting

Malicious false reports undermine the safety system and waste resources that could protect genuine victims. Verified false reporters will receive warnings and may face account suspension.
