Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters deeply to us. Here's exactly what we collect and how we use it.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: Email address, password (hashed and encrypted). We never store plaintext passwords.

Profile Information: Nickname, avatar, age, gender, city, country, languages, interests, bio. This is what appears publicly on your profile.

Optional Physical Information: Height, eye color, hair color. You choose whether to include this.

Usage Data: Log data, IP addresses, browser type, pages visited. Used for security and improving the Platform.

Verification Data: Phone number (for phone verification). Government ID images are reviewed by our safety team and not stored beyond verification.

2. What We Do NOT Share Publicly

The following information is NEVER shown publicly on your profile:

  • Your real name (only nickname is shown)
  • Your email address
  • Your phone number
  • Your precise location (only city-level)
  • Government ID information

Phone numbers and contact details are never publicly displayed. In-app messaging is used for all communication.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and improve our matching algorithm
  • To verify your identity and maintain platform safety
  • To send important service notifications (not marketing without consent)
  • To detect and prevent fraud, scams, and abuse
  • To comply with legal obligations

4. Your Privacy Controls

You can control what information is visible on your profile. From your profile settings you can hide or show individual fields. You can delete your account at any time, which removes all personal data within 30 days.

5. Data Retention

Active profile data is retained while your account is active. Deleted accounts have personal data removed within 30 days. Anonymized usage statistics may be retained for analytics. Legal compliance records may be retained for up to 7 years.

6. Third-Party Services

We use Supabase for database and authentication, Stripe for payment processing, and may use third-party AI services for content moderation. Each service is bound by strict data processing agreements.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and security. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels. You can manage cookie preferences in your browser settings.
